This is the last earthly miracle of Jesus prior to Calvary. No one who calls upon Christ is insignificant. The cry goes back to the cry of David in Psalm 51 asking for mercy and grace. The blind man "saw" Jesus, the promised Son of David. His response was obedience and praise.
