Singleness and Abstinence is Not Next to Godliness

Paul is addressing this very specific problem in Corinth that comes to him via a letter. We don’t know the whys and the wherefores’ but it certainly appears that there is notion floating around the Corinthian church that “singleness and abstinence” are next to godliness.
